Skullcandy makes Thiago Silva its first football brand ambassador

Brazil National Team captain Thiago Silva has partnered with Skullcandy to become the company’s first football brand ambassador. The 28-year-old defender, who recently won the French Ligue 1 championship with Paris Saint-Germain and led Brazil to its third consecutive FIFA Confederations Cup title, is the latest addition to the Skullcandy Family. He joins a star-studded line-up that already includes NBA players Kevin Durant, James Harden, Kyrie Irving, Derrick Rose, Andre Iguodala and the NFL’s Stevie Johnson.

The partnership, which runs until 2016, includes the participation of the player in advertising campaigns, postings on social networks, promotions and events. Skullcandy gave the Brazilian captain a customised headphone created exclusively for him on the eve of the FIFA Confederations Cup Brazil 2013, and a fresh set for the 2013/14 European club season.

“I’m passionate about music and Skullcandy is admired by all players for having great products. I love my new custom headphones and am proud of this new partnership,” says Silva.
