Skullcandy Unveils World Cup Headphone Lineup

Skullcandy, the original performance and lifestyle audio brand, is affirming its position in international football by producing a range of licensed headphones for national teams competing in the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™.

Building on the successful launch of Skullcandy FC, with Chelsea Football Club, FC Barcelona, A.C. Milan, Olympique de Marseille and Boca Juniors, the Utah-based company will now create unique headphone assortments for four national teams heading to Brazil – England (FA), Germany (DFB), France (FFF), and Mexico (FMF).

Commenting on the launch Thierry Peuchot, Marketing Director for Skullcandy Europe, said: “Following our successful clubs’ launch last Autumn, it felt natural to work with some of the best national teams as they take centre stage in what promises to be the greatest World Cup ever.

“As a brand, we are genuinely passionate about football and we want to share that passion with the fans. This is a tribute to them and their love for the sport.”

Skullcandy’s ongoing involvement with world football includes an endorsement deal with Brazil national team and Paris Saint-Germain captain Thiago Silva.

The commanding central defender will take centre stage on June 12th as he leads out host nation Brazil when they open their tournament account against Croatia in São Paulo.
